Founded in 1998, Euroshore is an international trade association of port reception facility providers with members in many European countries. Its objectives are to promote the use of member port reception facilities, the efficient and environmentally sound disposal of maritime waste, and healthy and fair competition. The association has been closely involved in the development and implementation of the EU directive on port reception facilities for ship-generated waste and cargo residues (2000/59/EC).
