Skipper in Dordrecht (day shift)
You collect and handle liquid and solid ship waste in the Drechtsteden with the Hydrovac 20 or 21 during day shifts while independently operating and maintaining the vessel and keeping accurate administration.
What will you do?
You will work daily on manoeuvring, securing or releasing, loading, transporting and unloading ship waste in the Drechtsteden area with our Hydrovac 20 or 21. This includes liquid waste as well as solid waste. You work day shifts from 08:00 to 17:00 starting from a berth in the Julianahaven. You have daily contact with the planners and with fellow skippers from other collection vessels. On board you work independently. You ensure the proper functioning of the vessel, installations and equipment and you carry out maintenance or arrange repairs when needed. You are also responsible for keeping the on board waste administration up to date.
What you bring
- Large Navigation Licence 1, Radar Certificate, ADN and VHF Certificate
- Basic knowledge of nautical English
- An independent work attitude and a sense of responsibility
